I've had a rather busy weekend taking pictures.
These are some shots I took around 11 in front of her house. They didn't turn out all that great, but they are a lot better than I expected them to be.
I shot this guy at my grandparent's 60th anniversary party. Congratulations Grandma & Grandpa!

The two of the church are nice and moody. And you were right about that moth, it is huge.
Thanks Craig. I wish I had a little more time to take some more shots of the Church. When I took them, I had no idea how they were going to turn out as I've never done that kind of shot before. Next time I'm there late enough, I'm going to go around to the front to see what kinds of shots I can get there and try to get in closer so I don't get as much road.
I'll be in Cerritos, CA this week, so that will give me plenty of opportunities to take some nice evening shots. My wife's family lives in a gated community that has a nice park and a pool in the middle of it. I expect to get some cool shots there.
Nice shots. I saw a family of skunks...baby skunks and all, scurrying about in the gated community park. They were very cute. If you're lucky maybe you can get some nice shots of them...before they spray you. :P ;)
Me :P (don't remember my blog id's password, so I'm going in as anonymous)
Yeah, the lighting on the church shots is pretty nice. And the moth (?) in the last one is pretty nice too.
Thank you Chris. I'd like to get out and do some more night shots as they come out looking pretty neat and I'd like to get more practice at it.
It's a moth. I'm not sure what kind it was. My grandma told me the name of it, but I forgot. I figured I'd be able to look online when I got home! Oh well. :)
That reminds me... Last night I took a tin-bowl work lamp outside and aimed it at a white piece of cardboard. I went outside a little while later with my camera and tripod and shot a few moths. I haven't looked at them yet. When I do, though, I'll post an entry about it.
